A Small Propagation Project

Junko Mori, 2004

© Junko Mori

From the 'Propagation Project' series. Composed of individually forged components, each subtlely different as a result of the hand-hammering process, so that when connected the final shape is determined by these 'little accidents'. Mori says the uncontrollable beauty is the core of my concept. This piece is a development from earlier static examples, since the individual sections are articulated to allow the work to be displayed in different ways.
