Free permanent galleries

Explore the free Why We Make Galleries, where over 500 objects across two floors shine a light on the V&A's collections, spanning art, design, fashion, performance and more. Highlights include a dress designed by Molly Goddard and worn by Beyoncé, a portrait of Lubaina Himid by Maud Sulter, and costumes designed for Leigh Bowery.

Inspiring exhibitions and events

Alongside permanent displays, museum hosts a programme of exhibitions and events, including performances, workshops, film screenings and talks.

Contemporary art installations

Every six months, the museum will present a new series of creative commissions by contemporary artists across both the V&A East Museum and V&A East Storehouse sites.

Café run by Jikoni

Inspired by the local area's diverse food scene, the museum's café is run by the people behind Jikoni, a restaurant that champions immigrant cuisine and mixed-heritage food cultures.
