V&A East
With a National Art Pass you get
A new museum and hub of creativity in East London, experience major exhibitions, collection galleries, local heritage and a vibrant programme of commissions and live events.
V&A East opens up the world of art, design and performance through behind-the-scenes access to the V&A's collection and bold new cultural spaces.
A new kind of museum
Part of the V&A’s East Bank development, V&A East builds on 150 years of heritage in east London while reimagining how collections are shared.
It brings together global creativity and local voices, creating a museum for the future that’s open, accessible and community-focused.
Thousands of objects
At the heart is the Storehouse, a purpose-built space for 250,000 objects, 350,000 books and 1,000 archives.
Visitors can explore self-guided routes, pop-up displays and encounters with rarely seen objects, giving unprecedented insight into museum life.
Dynamic public spaces
Alongside permanent displays, the centre hosts performances, workshops, film screenings and interactive events.
A viewing gallery showcases large-scale stage cloths, textiles and paintings that are usually hidden from view.
