Tredegar House, Gardens and Park
With a National Art Pass you get
Tredegar House is one of the finest Restoration period buildings in Wales, with beautiful formal gardens in 90 acres of parkland.
It was the home of the Morgan Family, a wealthy and powerful family who later became Lords Tredegar. Packed with tales of tragic ends, eccentric big spenders and famous philanthropists, there's plenty of juicy history to keep your imagination occupied. One of our favourites is the colourful character Evan, who along with hosting scandalous parties collected a menagerie of animals which included Blue Boy the parrot, Alice the bear and Somerset the boxing kangaroo.
