The Brown Collection
With a National Art Pass you get
The Brown Collection in central London presents artist Glenn Brown’s work alongside Old Masters and contemporary artists who inspire his practice.
Four floors of art
Opened in October 2022, The Brown Collection in Marylebone is housed in a renovated 1905 mews warehouse. Founded by British artist Glenn Brown, it reflects his desire for a permanent venue to share both his own art and his extensive collection. Across four floors, visitors can encounter painting, sculpture and archival material in a purpose-built setting.
Old and new
The displays blend Brown’s contemporary work with Old Masters and 20th- and 21st-century artists. Artists in the collection include Gillian Wearing, Abraham Bloemaert, Henri Fantin-Latour, Grace Pailthorpe, Hans Hartung, Austin Osman Spare and Gaetano Gandolfi. Juxtaposition is key: Brown’s art sits in dialogue with works that have informed and challenged his career.
Dynamic and ever-changing
The museum reflects Brown’s curatorial interests and offers lectures, artist talks and exhibitions. This is a dynamic and ever-changing space, encouraging visitors to consider art history through the lens of a contemporary master.
