The headquarters of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Surgeons' Hall Museums holds one of the largest and most significant medical collections in the UK.

Originally developed as a teaching museum for students of medicine, Surgeons' Hall Museums' fascinating collections have been open to the public since 1832 offering a glimpse into the fascinating history of medicine and surgery.

The museums offer a variety of activities, including guided tours, workshops, and events. However, it's important to note that the content can be quite graphic, and therefore is not recommended for children under 10.

The Wohl Pathology Museum

One of the world's most significant pathology collections, showcasing preserved human tissues and organs. This museum offers a unique perspective on diseases and their effects on the human body.

The History of Surgery Museum

Learn about the development of dentistry, from ancient tooth extraction methods to modern dental practices. The collection includes dental instruments, artefacts, prints, paintings, engravings and models.

Body Voyager Gallery
