The magnificent Anglican cathedral is one of London's most well known landmarks. Its impressive dome dominates the city's skyline, and it has been the setting for many significant historical events such as state funerals and royal weddings.
Explore the Cathedral
Admire the intricate details of the interior, including the stunning mosaics and stained glass windows, and learn about the cathedral's history and architecture. Guided and self-guided tours in multiple languages are available every day learn about the cathedral's history and architecture. The cathedral is the final resting place of Sir Christopher Wren, the architect who designed it. His tomb, along with those of other national heroes, is located in the crypt.
Religious art
You will find artworks with theological messages around the Cathedral. Pieces on display include The Light of the World painting by William Holman Hunt, large-scale video installations, Martyrs and Mary, by internationally acclaimed artist Bill Viola, the Mother and Child: Hood sculpture by Henry Moore.
Visit the Whispering Gallery
Experience the unique acoustics of the Whispering Gallery, a circular promenade 30m above the ground. Stand at one side and whisper, and your voice will be clearly heard by someone standing on the opposite side.
The Golden Gallery
If you can manage the 528 step climb (there is no lift), the Golden Gallery offers panoramic views of London.
It’s free to attend the Cathedral for services at St Paul's. If you want to explore the building, you will need a sightseeing ticket.

Opening times
Sightseeing is available Monday - Saturday, 8.30am (10am Wednesdays) to 4.30pm. Last entry at 4pm. As a busy working church, there are occasions when the Cathedral has special closures. Please check the website or call 020 7246 8350 for details. Please note the Bill Viola installations cannot be viewed on Sundays or during services on Saturdays. You do not need to book to use the National Art Pass discount. Please check sightseeing opening hours before you visit and bring your Pass with you.
Exclusions and safety measures
Sightseeing opening days and times may vary. A National Art Pass entitles you to 50% off the walk-up individual adult, concession or child admission tickets. It does not give a discount on group tickets, add-on tour tickets or special event tickets. It cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
