Sculpture House in Paisley provides affordable studios, free public programmes and creative opportunities for the local community, transforming Craigielea House into a community arts hub.

Creative campus

Sculpture House is an artist-led charity based in Ferguslie Park in Paisley. Founded by Laura Aldridge, Nick Evans and James Rigler, it believes in the power of making to build confidence, skills and connection. The project is transforming Craigielea House, a former social work office, into a creative campus of studios and communal spaces open to the community.

Making art accessible

Affordable studio space supports professional artists, while a free public programme offers workshops, open days and long-term projects with schools, nurseries and support organisations. Activities are designed to be welcoming and inclusive, enabling people of all ages and abilities to learn new techniques, meet makers and develop creative confidence.

Local partnerships and impact

Working with Renfrewshire Council through Future Paisley, the team operates an innovative lease: studio rent is paid in kind by delivering public activity and maintaining the building. Together, artists and residents shape a living artwork rooted in place.

Why you should go

  • Affordable studios supporting professional artists

  • Free creative programmes for all ages

  • Discover a living work of art
