Step into the Royal College of Music Museum and explore five centuries of music making. From rare instruments and iconic portraits to playable exhibits, live performances and guided tours, the Museum offers an interactive experience for visitors.
Explore highlights from the RCM’s fascinating collection of over 14,000 items including the world’s earliest known stringed keyboard instrument (Ulm, c1450), earliest surviving guitar (Lisbon, 1581) and the most famous portraits of Farinelli and Joseph Haydn.
Don’t miss the stunning atrium installation by artist Victoria Morton, inspired by the space that surrounds it.
The Museum is free to visit and is situated in the heart of South Kensington surrounded by London’s best-known museums. While you’re here why not attend an inspiring concert, masterclass or talk and grab a bite to eat in our cafe, The Carolean.
