The Royal Academy of Music Museum celebrates music's capacity to inspire, unite, console and stimulate, drawing on a range of eminent artefacts.

Housed in an 1823 building by John Nash designed as part of the approach to Regent's Park, the museum's displays include rare instruments, art, photography, manuscripts and scores. The three permanent galleries are dedicated to the history of the Academy, showcasing its collection of renowned stringed instruments and historical pianos, the latter of which demonstrates the development of the grand piano in the 19th century. There is also a programme of temporary exhibitions, which change annually.

The museum regularly holds lecture-recitals, demonstrations, seminars, workshops, family activity sessions and other events, which include performances that draw upon the Academy's collections.
