Ramsey Rural Museum
With a National Art Pass you get
Explore the history of rural Cambridgeshire at Ramsey Rural Museum, a charming hands-on farm museum packed with farm tools, bygones & Fenland life.
Right in the heart of the Huntingdonshire countryside, the museum is part of a 10th-century Benedictine Abbey and is now made up of a collection of gorgeously renovated 17th-century farm buildings.
Packed with treasures primarily donated by local people, you can explore historic machinery, implements and vehicles showcasing 200 years of rural life. Dedicated displays tell the stories of local cobblers, chemists, farmers, traders and more, while you can also discover a Victorian study and hundreds of historic toys. Other highlights include paraphernalia from the Armed Forces, fashion items and intriguing stories such as the last person executed at the Tower of London.
A year-round events programme includes fairs, heritage days and carnivals, plus you can grab a cuppa in the charming Tea Room or enjoy a picnic in the idyllic grounds.
