The rich history of the ancient port town of Poole is revealed in four floors of galleries housed in a 19th-century quayside warehouse.
The museum was reopened in 2007 following a major redevelopment. With an extensive local social history collection, highlights include the Iron Age Poole log boat and the finest collection of Poole Pottery on public display. Occupying an important medieval port building, Poole History Centre has an extensive library and collection of photographs and maps.
The more you see, the more we do.
The National Art Pass lets you enjoy free entry to hundreds of museums, galleries and historic places across the UK, while raising money to support them.
