With a National Art Pass you get
Parc Howard Museum in Llanelli combines art, history and innovation in a striking Victorian villa surrounded by landscaped parkland and gardens.
Showcasing Llanelli pottery
Built in 1885, the house was gifted to the town in 1912 and has since become home to the largest public collection of Llanelli pottery. Its fine art holdings include works by J. D. Innes, Hubert von Herkomer, Christopher Williams and Edward Morland Lewis. Visitors can also see curiosities such as the Stepney Spare Wheel, invented locally in 1904 and sold worldwide. These objects sit alongside displays telling the story of Llanelli’s rapid growth as the 'Tinopolis' of the industrial era.
Inventive spirit
Recent redisplays include the Painting Gallery and Llanelly Pottery Stories Gallery. The imaginative Imaginarium encourages play, discussion and problem-solving, from kaleidoscopes to Pepper’s Ghost illusions. Exhibitions also highlight Llanelli’s inventive spirit, from spare wheels to Specsavers.
Relaxing location
A welcoming reception includes a shop and café with hot drinks, snacks and ice creams. Outdoor seating makes it easy to enjoy refreshments while exploring the surrounding park.
