Opening times

4 days a week from the beginning of May to the end of September|: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 12-4pm.

Exclusions and safety measures

There are steep steps to the front of the museum however access is available through the courtyard around the back of the property which can be accessed via the adjacent archway or from Bryn Street.

There are wide and shallow stairs with good handrails to the rest of the floors but no lift access.

The ground floor includes the reception area and shop, a handling collection and filmed media, including a guided tour for visitors who are unable to access the upper floors.

Please be aware that we are a grade 2 listed building built in 1830's so the floors are uneven and there are some low doorways so care must be taken.

Wheelchairs and pushchairs can access the ground floor and courtyard but unfortunately not the upper floors of the building.

We have a Toilet onsite which is wheelchair friendly,accessed by key from reception .Currently there are no disabled or baby changing facilities.. However ,we can advise you of facilities nearby in Newtown.
