National Centre for Writing
The National Centre for Writing is a vibrant hub in Norwich supporting writers and literary translators through events, residencies and education.
Based in the historic Dragon Hall, the National Centre for Writing offers workshops, talks, and festivals that celebrate the power of creative writing and literary translation. It welcomes visitors three days a week and provides opportunities to connect with the literary world both locally and internationally.
Cultural connection and local history
As part of Norwich’s UNESCO City of Literature, the centre plays a key role in the city’s literary scene. Visitors can enjoy public events such as crime writing festivals and guided tours of the medieval Dragon Hall, where you'll find faded Victorian wallpaper and markings allegedly left by witches.
Shop that gives back
Show your support for the centre's artistic programme by treating yourself to something from the shop. You'll find artist prints, merchandise and an array of books.
