Museum Nan Eilean
Stornoway
Free to all
The redeveloped museum and archive is housed in an annexe to the castle.
It examines how the people of the Outer Hebrides have lived and worked from the earliest times to the present day, and how their culture is expressed through the Gaelic language.
On display are objects, photographs, prints and paintings, and archives, bringing to life the archaeology, social, domestic and economic history of the islands.
