Kilmartin Museum was established to protect, investigate and interpret the internationally important archaeological landscape of Kilmartin Glen and the artefacts that have been found there.
The collection includes locally found artefacts and replicas, and there are lots of fun activities for children, including rubbing, corn grinding and polishing a stone axe head. From the museum you can walk into the Glen to view the monuments and cairns featured in the museum displays.
Look out for The Wild Escape at museums and galleries in the next few months. Many have special events, or you can use our audio introduction to help children get involved at any cultural venue.
