Explore the history of the people, environment and traditions of Inverness and the Highlands through geology, natural history, archaeology and social history.

There is a good collection of Highland silver and a small collection of contemporary Scottish art. There is also a programme of changing exhibitions, often of contemporary art and crafts.

Please observe the measures in place to comply with current regulations and keep everyone safe. These may include staggered entry times, maximum capacities for particular rooms as well as the whole building, social distancing, hand sanitser stations on entry and throughout the building, one-way system, reduced availability of some areas or interactives, some facilities reduced or closed, etc.
