The Holst Victorian House
With a National Art Pass you get
Enter 4 Clarence Road and you see the house much as the young Gustav Holst did when he was growing up here in the 1870s.
The house is the only example in Gloucestershire of a Victorian-Edwardian family home complete with the furnishings and utensils of that period. The story of the man and his music is told alongside a fascinating display of personal belongings including his piano.
Look out for The Wild Escape at museums and galleries in the next few months. Many have special events, or you can use our audio introduction to help children get involved at any cultural venue.
