Discovery Point and Royal Research Ship Discovery
With a National Art Pass you get
The internationally significant RRS Discovery was built in Dundee for the 1901-4 British National Antarctic Expedition led by Captain Robert Falcon Scott.
Discovery Point interprets the history of the ship and the men who served on her. The Discovery and the associated polar collections are a Recognised Collection of National Significance and include scientific specimens and instruments, paintings, photographs, personalia, food rations and clothing.
The Cafe Gallery houses a changing programme of art, photographic and historical exhibitions.
Look out for The Wild Escape at museums and galleries in the next few months. Many have special events, or you can use our audio introduction to help children get involved at any cultural venue.
