With a National Art Pass you get
The more you see, the more we do.
The National Art Pass lets you enjoy free entry to hundreds of museums, galleries and historic places across the UK, while raising money to support them.
A meticulously restored 17th-century house on the harbour where Cook was apprenticed to master-mariners John and Henry Walker.
The house retains its atmosphere of Quaker simplicity and hard-earned comfort. Collections on Cook and those who sailed with him include original paintings and drawings by artists such as Thomas Gainsborough, William Hodges (the official artist on Cook's second voyage) and John Webber (the official artist on Cook's third and final voyage), letters in Cook's hand, documents, furniture, antiquarian books, ship models and ethnographic artefacts. Special exhibitions are held every year.
