A place for learning

Opened in 2018, the Aga Khan Centre in London houses organisations founded by the Aga Khan, including the Institute of Ismaili Studies and the Aga Khan Foundation. Together they work to advance education, research and development, building understanding of Muslim cultures and their global contribution.

Access to culture

The Aga Khan Library holds rare books and manuscripts, while exhibitions and lectures introduce visitors to themes ranging from art and architecture to pressing social issues. The centre creates an accessible space where culture, research and dialogue connect.

Stunning gardens

Designed by Fumihiko Maki, the striking building embodies openness and pluralism. Its six gardens and courtyards draw on traditions from across the Islamic world and can be explored through guided tours.
