Stephen James Napier Tennant (21 April 1906 – 28 February 1987) was a British artist known for his decadent, eccentric lifestyle. He was best friends with Rex Whistler at The Slade, Siegfried Sassoon's lover, Cecil Beaton's Muse, brightest of the bright young people, immortalized by Evelyn Waugh & Nancy Mitford. He drew, painted, wrote poetry and extraordinary letters every day of his live - there will be a catalog with essays by Philip Hoare, Max Egremont & Hugo Vickers
