Bringing together six decades of interdisciplinary practice by a Chilean artist, poet and activist.
The first major UK exhibition of Cecilia Vicuña, this show spans six decades, tracing her practice across painting, textile, photography, installation and film.
Having moved to London in the early 1970s to study at the Slade School of Art, Vicuña entered self-exile following the 1973 military coup in Chile. On display, there will be a archival material from Artists for Democracy, the solidarity organisation she co-founded in London in 1974, bringing together documents, photographs and printed materials.
