The first comprehensive solo exhibition of Irish artist Isabel Nolan‘s work in the UK to date.
The first comprehensive solo exhibition of Irish artist Isabel Nolan‘s work in the UK to date. This major exhibition comes at a significant moment in Nolan’s career. In 2026 she will represent Ireland at the 61st Venice Biennale, Italy, with The Douglas Hyde Gallery, Dublin. Nolan’s bold use of traditional materials such as painting, steel sculptures, drawing and textiles invite us to think both in the here and now, and to look to the vastness of the cosmos. Whether drawing on the sciences, on spiritual or cultural legacies, Nolan’s exhibitions offer the viewer a richly made, powerful experience.
In partnership with the Bluecoat, Liverpool, the exhibition tours there 8 December 2026 – 14 March 2027.
This exhibition is generously supported by Arts Council England.
