An exploration of memory, lineage and materiality through sculptural installation
Veronica Ryan’s site specific work will transform the historic spaces of Mount Stuart, using handcrafted sculpture to explore memory, family histories and connections to place. She draws on a wide range of materials, from bronze and marble to textiles and found objects, to examine environmental and social histories. The work reflects on domestic life, collecting practices and colonial legacies, while responding to the island context of Bute.
Encounter thoughtful, tactile installations that invite reflection on personal and collective stories, highlighting the hand-made as a conduit for understanding history and identity.
