Ffiona Lewis: Slung Mugs

23 May - 28 June 2026
10am-5.30pm
Free to all

An exhibition of work by Ffiona Lewis as part of the 2026 Aldeburgh Festival.

“Slung Mugs” is the name of a musical instrument devised by Benjamin Britten for his opera Noye’s Fludde, now exhibited at The Red House, Aldeburgh.

Borrowed for this new show by Ffiona Lewis, discover oil paintings, weavings, woolworks and photographs. The work reflects Lewis’s total fascination and absorption of this extraordinary house, garden and archive that was Britten and Pears’ home and studio. The ordinary made extraordinary.

FFiona Lewis is represented by Redfern Gallery.
