Contemporary artist explores mental health and diverse identities in new commission.
Trained in architecture, but working as an illustrator and artist for the last decade, Murugiah is an artist known for his bold visual language that explores mental health and the experience of holding many identities at once.
Murugiah: Ever Feel Like… at Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration is a major exhibition presenting prints, paintings and sketches that will fill the atmospheric Engine House, transforming the Grade II listed space into an immersive environment that draws on the artist’s Sri Lankan background and his upbringing in Wales.
