Joy Labinjo: A Place of Our Own

7 February - 4 May 2026
Mon-Sat 10.30am - 4.30pm, Sun 11am - 4pm
Free to all

An exhibition of large-scale figurative paintings depicting intimate scenes, by British Nigerian artist Joy Labinjo.

Acclaimed British Nigerian artist Joy Labinjo’s intimate portraits boldly rewrite the narrative of the nude, celebrating Black women by placing them at its centre. In A Place of Our Own Labinjo presents a space for new stories to be told by inviting audiences to consider how bodies inhabit, resist, belong and reflect on power, vulnerability and self-acceptance.
