Enjoy a snapshot of the culture and communities of London’s docklands, on display at Cutty Sark.
A historic seafaring hub, a once derelict wasteland and today a vibrant commercial centre: London Docklands is an area defined by adaptation and regeneration.
Niki Gorick: Dock Life is a photographic display that captures the varied lives and activities along London’s dockside. A London-based photographer, Niki Gorick has achieved recognition for her candid images, which document the capital’s diverse communities.
From images of families on houseboats to vessels undergoing maintenance, Niki Gorick: Dock Life looks at this thriving area through a contemporary lens. Accompanying images and stories from Royal Museums Greenwich’s archive bring to life the connections – and contrasts – between dock life past and present.
The display is included with all tickets to Cutty Sark. See it in the Dry Dock, beneath the ship itself.
