Georg Wilson: The Earth Exhales

11 October 2025 - 1 March 2026

Contemporary painter imagines a strange and hypnotic alternative to familiar landscapes.

Georg Wilson’s paintings conjure wild, otherworldly landscapes untouched by humanity. Hollow moons, trailing roots, and prowling, clawed creatures populate scenes where nature exists on its own terms, free from human control or hierarchy.

Her latest exhibition, The Earth Exhales, presents a series which follows the rhythms of the seasons, from the hazy green stillness of summer to the slow decay of autumn, with recurring motifs such as the metallic, gem-like rose chafer beetle. Wooden cut-out paintings and sculptural elements intertwine with the view of the gardens outside to invoke the atmosphere of the natural landscape.
