50 years of powerful portraits that resist oppression and exclusion
The first UK solo exhibition of Chilean photographer Paz Errázuriz offers a powerful journey through over 170 colour and black-and-white images. Spanning five decades, Errázuriz’s work captures the hidden realities of Chilean society, portraying those often overlooked or marginalised. Known for her compassionate and immersive approach, Errázuriz spent months or even years within communities – including psychiatric patients, the Trans community and the endangered Kawésqar indigenous group.
Created under the shadow of General Pinochet’s dictatorship, Errázuriz saw photography as a courageous act of resistance.
