Exploring humanity’s vital connection with freshwater across time and cultures
Thirst: In Search of Freshwater reveals the crucial role of freshwater in sustaining life and health worldwide. Spanning ancient Mesopotamia to present-day Nepal and Singapore, it examines how water shapes ecosystems and communities. The show highlights the impact of water mismanagement, such as infectious diseases, alongside inspiring community-led responses to the global water crisis.
Featuring 125 objects from historical artefacts to contemporary artworks by artists including Gideon Mendel and Chloe Dewe Mathews, the exhibition offers an immersive experience into our shared relationship with this precious resource.
