Margaret Salmon: Assembly

1 June - 1 October 2025
Free to all

Films shedding a light on how austerity and the pandemic has impacted Glasgow.

Assembly is a solo exhibition of new work by acclaimed artist-filmmaker Margaret Salmon that offers an intimate exploration of life in Glasgow’s Kelvinside and Maryhill districts. Rooted in the everyday experiences of Glasgow residents, Assembly probes how years of austerity and the global pandemic have impacted individuals and communities. Central to the exhibition is a long-form narrative film, To a God Unknown.

The project is created in collaboration with a diverse range of community groups including G20 Works, Amma Birth Companions and Girls Rock Glasgow.
