As part of Cyfarthfa Castle's bicentenary celebrations, this exhibition features the work of 76 artists working in Wales.
As part of our bicentennial celebrations, Cyfarthfa Castle Museum and Art Gallery have launched a new exhibition called ‘Cyfarthfa : Juxtaposed Art Prize 2025
Artists have been invited from Merthyr Tydfil and across Wales to respond to making new work inspired by our collection.
The art prize acknowledged 3 outstanding winners from the painting, printmaking and photography categories and was judged by Dr Bronwen Colquhoun from Amgueddfa Cymru, Professor Andre Stitt, and Director of Swansea Print house, Sarah Hopkins.
Artwork is also for sale and can be viewed until 31st August 2025.
