Exploring the quintessentially British look and spirit of Mod style
Step into the world of the Mods, a youth movement that transformed 1960s Britain with its sharp fashion, music, and fearless attitude. This exhibition captures the essence of Mod culture from 1958 to 1966, revealing how young people rebelled against convention through bold style and creative freedom.
Showcasing striking outfits, accessories, vintage photography, film, and memorabilia, it traces the roots and enduring influence of this quintessentially British look. Curated by former Mod Roger K Burton alongside Brighton’s textile expert Martin Pel, the exhibition is support by Ben Sherman, the Brighton label synonymous with Mod style.
