The Impartial Reporter 1825 – 2025: Reporting 200 Years of History Through the Archives

3 May - 28 September 2025

Witness the power of print journalism in shaping community.

Celebrating two centuries of journalism, this exhibition traces the history of The Impartial Reporter from its first edition in 1825 to the present day. Through historic newspapers, photographs, memorabilia and personal archives, the display reveals the newspaper’s vital role in documenting social and political change, local life and community stories across Fermanagh, South Tyrone and the border counties.

The exhibition draws on a rich archive to tell the story of a local institution that has shaped regional identity for 200 years.
