An exhibition of the work of photographer Alex Coupar, charting the faces and places of Dundee and beyond
Dundee photographer Alex Coupar has recorded our lives and surroundings since the early 1950s. His body of work is extensive and varied, including news events, advertising, industrial and commercial commissions. Across Scotland, Alex has captured our urban and rural landscapes, our work, leisure and cultural lives over six decades.
This exhibition presents highlights from the Alex Coupar Collection, now held by the University's Archive Services. Using Alex's original prints where possible, and focusing on his home city of Dundee, the exhibition reveals some of the many changes and developments recorded by Alex over the years.
