John Hansard Gallery presents artworks from the 2023 Koestler Arts Annual Exhibition. Koestler Arts, the UK’s best-known prison arts charity, empowers individuals in the criminal justice system to transform their lives through artistic engagement.
The exhibition highlights 80 pieces of artwork, music and writing that individuals from the Hampshire and Southwest regions have submitted to the 2023 Koestler Awards.
Their involvement brings fresh viewpoints and insights, offering unique interpretations of work by those within the prison system. This collaboration fosters a platform for artistic expression and a deeper understanding of the impact of art on personal transformation within the criminal justice context.
