This highly anticipated exhibition celebrates the iconic performers that have graced stages around the world from the Victorian era to the present day.
Latin for goddess, ‘diva' was used as high praise for female performers, especially in the world of opera. Over centuries the word has come to represent different things, and this exhibition explores what it is to be a diva and how this has been interpreted across popular music, film, opera and the stage.
DIVA celebrates superstars in these fields through fashion, photography, costumes and more drawn from the V&A collection and loans from around the world.
