Focusing on the creativity and community of British folk cultures, this collection of over 40 outfits not only brings to life the history of traditional costumes and their role in British folklore, but also looks at how practices are evolving for a new era.

Discover of social movements on folk traditions, learn about the rise of all-female Morris groups and explore traditional costumes worn by participants of seasonal events, from the Notting Hill Carnival to the Festival of the Horse in Orkney.
