This fascinating new display includes artefacts that hail from a range of countries in Africa, from Sierra Leone to the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The founders of the museum at East Cliff Hall amassed a huge array of works of art and souvenirs from their travels across the world. This special exhibition concentrates on objects and sculptures, some previously unseen, from the Africa Collection.
The curation is also part of a wider project working with Bournemouth’s diverse communities to help increase the knowledge and understanding of the objects in the collection.
