Explore the extraordinary story of how Eastbury Manor house was saved from demolition in the early 1900s.

This permanent exhibition features documents, photographs, and the stories of how Eastbury Manor house was saved and prepared for acquisition by the National Trust in 1918.

The exhibition includes detailed plans of the house and documents from the archive, alongside interesting information, photographs, and explanations of the house at the time it was saved. You'll discover how the house was being used, and how the actions of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) and the National Trust helped preserve the house for visitors today.
