This display showcases work from our first Community Residency, held in collaboration with Traveller Pride and Shaan Knan.
To mark the end of our first community residency, we have dedicated one of our gallery spaces to celebrate LGBTQ+ Travellers+.
During the workshops, participants creatively explored what it means to be LGBTQ+ Traveller+ through conversation, poetry, photography, zine-making, and collage. These creative works are displayed alongside objects curated by the group.
This work celebrates LGBTQ+ Travellers, their history and heritage. We encourage you to think about what being LGBTQ+ and Traveller means, and what can be done to include and empower their communities in Britain and beyond.
