Join us for An Evening of Remembrance, as we come together to honour the courage, service and sacrifice of those who served.

The evening will begin with a pre-dinner drinks reception, followed by a three-course meal in the historic surroundings of The Black Watch Castle and Museum.

This year’s evening will feature archive readings exploring the life of Second Lieutenant Alexander (Hamish) Mann, who served with The Black Watch during the First World War. Drawing on his extensive archive, the readings will bring together selections from his poetry, letters and personal writings, offering a personal insight into his experiences and life on the Western Front.

Alongside the archive readings, live music will help create a poignant atmosphere of remembrance and reflection throughout the evening.

An Evening of Remembrance offers an opportunity to come together, reflect on the sacrifices of those who served and discover the story of one Black Watch soldier through the words and records he left behind.
