Join us for A Brief History of Surgery as you explore our museum after hours.
Can’t make it to the museum during our normal hours?
Join us at one of our themed monthly museum lates for an opportunity to explore our exhibitions after hours! These extended openings allow visitors to see the space in a unique and hands-on way!
This month’s late will also include a special talk A Brief History of Surgery! Get into the gory spirit for Halloween by learning about how this medical practice developed overtime.
We will also call your attention to a special surgical box on display in the museum, on loan from our friends at the Hunterian Museum! You’ll discover the intriguing history of this Victorian Era case, how it connects to Florence Nightingale, and learn about the medical practices of the Crimean War.
The talk will start at 6:30pm BST and will last around 45 minutes with time for questions at the end.
A bar will be open starting at 5:00pm serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks offering the perfect accompaniment to your visit.
All tickets purchased for the monthly museum lates are general admission tickets and will be valid for a full year. All general admission tickets (including those of repeat visitors) will be accepted for these monthly Thursday evening lates.
