An opportunity to develop ideas directly from observations and drawings en plein air into print.
The landscape in the village of Great Thurlow offers quaint cottages, old stable and farm buildings, the Hall and church, and open fields where a fine herd of horned cattle may be grazing. Starting with drawing from life outside in the beautiful landscape, you will return to the studio and explore printmaking methods and translating your observations into beautiful prints using stencilling, collagraph and monoprint techniques guided by the wonderful Charles Shearer RCA. This 3 day course allows time to fully develop and build on your work away from the hustle and bustle of city life. A full demonstration will be given at every stage and all materials are included. Please bring your sketchbook if you'd like to also use existing sketches.
