Phoebe Collings-James sits down with Shenece Oretha to talk about their practices, sound and sculpture.
Overview
Join us for a conversation between Phoebe Collings-James, the artist behind a rose, a bridge, a house, and multidisciplinary artist Shenece Oretha. The two artists discuss their approaches to making and take us on a journey through the cross-disciplinary natures of their practices.
For both Collings-James and Oretha, sound plays a vital role in their wider work. This evening offers an opportunity to experience a rose, a bridge, a house, through an alternative lens.
Collings-James and Oretha previously had a conversation at the Fitzwilliam Museum (read here), and this Thursday Late continues that dialogue. This event will begin by listening to sound selected by the artists, followed by a conversation between Collings-James and Oretha, where they (re)consider the relationship between sculpture, sound and space.
This event is part of the public programme for Phoebe Collings-James, a rose, a bridge, a house.
