Join us in April for a Thursday Late event looking at the art of appearance.
In a special talk (tickets sold separately – BOOK HERE), celebrated curator and aesthete Stephen Calloway invites us into the fascinating world of self-fashioning – revealing how William Nicholson’s evolving persona, captured in portraits and photographs across his long career, became one of his most enduring works of art.
There will be a Library show and tell session, a curator’s tour of William Nicholson, life drawing with award winning artist Wendy Barratt and a studio drink and draw workshop.
5–6pm Library Show and Tell
6–7pm Talk: ‘William Nicholson’s greatest invention? The image of the artist’ with Stephen Calloway (tickets sold separately)
6–8pm Drop-in Life Drawing with Wendy Barratt
6.30–8pm Drink and Draw Studio workshop (tickets sold separately)
7.30–8pm Guided tour of our William Nicholson exhibition
Admission to the gallery and exhibitions is free if you purchase a ticket for a talk or studio workshop, otherwise admission is half price.
