Join artists Nettle Cottage Prints to celebrate the season of renewal through the art of lino printing.
10.30am - 3.30pm
Join artists Nettle Cottage Prints to step into the beauty of spring and celebrate the season of renewal through the art of lino printing. Inspired by the Japanese tradition of Hanami, this workshop invites you to connect with the senses and the fleeting magic of cherry blossoms.
Through a guided sensory visualisation, we’ll explore the delicate sights, scents, and feelings of spring’s awakening. This reflective practice will inspire your creative process as you design and carve your own lino print, capturing the essence of this vibrant season. Your individual artwork will contribute to a collaborative collection of prints, and you’ll also take home your lino block to continue creating at your leisure.
The session will include a simple introduction to linocut techniques, making it accessible for beginners while offering a creative space for those with prior experience. The focus is less on technique and more on immersing yourself in the creative process—connecting with the spirit of Hanami and celebrating the beauty of spring’s awakening.
We keep our groups small – no more than six people – to ensure space for everyone to share, reflect, and enjoy this creative journey.
