Learn how to make your own colourful inks from plants and minerals from the land around us!
We’ll make inks and paints from foraged plants, food waste, minerals and scrap metals, so that you can paint from the land and your imagination. You’ll go home with a recipe card, a colour sample booklet, any drawings you’ve made and - if you bring a jar with you - a little pot of handmade colour.
This workshop is for children aged 12 years and older. We ask for an adult to accompany workshop participants for the workshop duration. Please purchase tickets for participating children only. Accompanying adults do not need to purchase a ticket.
All materials and equipment will be provided. This workshop is run by Ione Maria Rojas.
PWYC Pricing
We want our workshops to be affordable, inclusive, and sustainable. To help us achieve this, we’re trialling a new three-tier ticketing system:
Pay What You Can (PWYC): If you don’t have the cash right now, don’t worry; book this rate and come along, no questions asked. We never want cost to be a barrier to joining in. From £0-4.
General admission: If you can afford to, please book this rate; this is the standard ticket price that covers materials, tutor fees, and running costs. £5
Supporter: If you’re feeling generous and you have the means, please consider choosing this rate. Paying it forward with a Supporter ticket subsidises our PWYC tickets for families who otherwise couldn’t afford to attend. Generally, our Supporter ticket is the cost of two standard tickets - that’s like paying for yourself and for one other person. £10
All you have to do is select the price bracket that best suits your budget and continue to checkout.
